Lagos Business School, Pan-African University is a community of people who share the commitment of creating and delivering management and business knowledge based on the Christian conception of the human person and the economic activity in Nigeria and Africa. The founders of Lagos Business School were inspired by the teachings of Saint Josemaria Escriva, founder of Opus Dei, a catholic institution. Opus Dei encourages all Christians to:
“live consistently with their faith, in the middle of the ordinary circumstances of their lives, especially through the sanctification of their professional work and family life. It encourages them also to play an active role in the just and efficient ordering of their societies” – Lagos website.
The business school’s campus is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, an uninterrupted power supply, modern catering facilities, professional security, and a learning environment that stands out from other institutions in Africa.
The Full-time MBA Program is designed to provide a solid foundation in general management suited for young professionals who aspire careers in management. The program places an emphasis on management science, the development of management skills and acquisition of a capacity for excellent decision-making.
The program consists of three elements:
- A rigorous structure within the first years to cover the fundamentals of management through core courses.
- A more diverse, flexible second year.
- An internship that can be completed during the 3 month break between semesters one and two.

The Executive MBA Program is designed to prepare executives for potential senior leadership positions through providing an analytical and integrated understanding of business management. The program is aimed to create a learning environment where participants are taught how to handle and solve real-life business problems through the fundamental skills of probing and group discussion.
The EMBA program is delivered in six 14-week semesters spread over two sessions for a period of 24 months and sessions begins in January and end in December. Classes are from 1:30-7:45 on Fridays and 9-1:45 on Saturdays. Additionally, there is a five-day intensive week once every semester. Below is a diagram of the program schedule from Lagos’s website.
The Executive Education Programs are based around general management programs that are designed to help business professionals acquire a holistic perspective of the organization and be able to integrate their expertise into the business environment and contribute to the progression of their corporation.
