Key Differentiators

Korea University Business School (KUBS) is located in Seoul, South Korea and was established in 1905 as the country’s first collegiate business school.  The school is accredited by AACSB and EQUIS and has recently become one of the strongest business schools not only in Korea, but in Asia as well.

KUBS has a mission to educate students and practitioners to become creative global business leaders who demonstrate social responsibility to their national and international community while creating sustainable value through cutting-edge management knowledge and skills.

The business school has 86 full-time faculty members and was ranked number one in research for Korean academic journal publications.  KUBS has over 37,000 alumni and the largest global internship and student exchange program in Korea.



The Full-time MBA Program is hosted in the LG-POSCO Building, recently completed in 2004 with a budget of $30 million.  The building is equipped with advanced educational hardware systems, user-friendly classrooms and study areas and an eco-friendly power supply.  The program offers a diverse set of MBAs, all with international exchange programs included.

The program structure of the Korea MBA is a two-year, 16-week course per semester MBA program that is customized in accordance with current business environments.  The courses are based on business theory, practical knowledge, team projects, lectures and field trips.  12 credits must come from English-based courses and 45 credits must be completed with a minimum GPA of 3.0 to graduate.  Below is a diagram of the core courses and electives for the MBA program, provided by KUBS website.

The Executive MBA Program is a two-year program that is concentrated on improving abilities of current executives that are developing potential future executives.  The program is specialized and intense to enhance the quality of the education and is meant for executives and directors with over ten years of work experience.

The program provides education and training primarily oriented toward business administration and practical management theories.  Courses are schedules Fridays and Saturdays and course subjects are completed in two-week based modules.  The face-to-face time with professors is prolonged with interactive classroom discussions as well.  Below is an example of a standard two-year curriculum, provided by KUBS website.

The Global MBA Program stands for global leadership and helping students gain a global vision and international perspective in the international economy.  The year-long program includes all elements of the KUBS MBA Experience combined with regional specialization opportunities, such as studying Asian-Pacific markets, and developing a global perspective through interactions with top business schools and industry leaders.

The minimum amount of credits required for graduation is 48, and classes begin in August.  Below is the program structure , provided by KUBS website.
