Key Differentiators

European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) was founded in 2002 in Germany and is an international business school with a European focus.  The business school takes a practice-oriented approach to education and offers students excellence and innovation through intense academic research, courses and consultation.  The three main pillars of thought at EMST are leadership and social responsibility, European competitiveness, and management of technology.

ESMT balances their educational curriculum over an interdisciplinary platform of politics, business and academia.  They believe in developing a long-term competitive advantage and social progression in the business world through their three core values.  These values are reflected in the business school’s research, students and alumni network.  ESMT is located in Berlin and courses are hosted in a renovated government structure that was used up until 1989.

The Full-time MBA Programme is a one-year programme that consists of two main phases:  “Mastering Management” and “Taking the Lead”.  The programme is focused on building leadership responsibilities in students and the understanding of global sustainable business in the world economy.

In “Mastering Management”, students attend a six-week module where they are immersed in the general principles of responsible leadership, business ethics and the role of business in society.  The focus of this module is behavior within an organisation and external environment influences in decision-making.

“Taking the Lead” is the second phase and focuses on the understanding of management fundamentals.  The objective if this phase is to develop students’ ability to make a difference through innovation, entrepreneurship, governance and leadership.  The phase focuses on the development of integrative leaders and technology and sustainable business and includes an international field seminar, consulting project, master’s thesis, business plan and innovation competition.  Below is the structure of the curriculum, provided by ESMT.
